For Diploma Holders (Category A (I)):

Diploma in Electrical Engineering (minimum 3 years) approved by AICTE
OR degree in electrical or electrical & electronics engineering.

For Non-Diploma Holders (Category A (II)):

Diploma/non-diploma holders having a valid Electrical Supervisor Certificate (with the mining part) under Indian Electricity Rules.
