Level 1 Syllabus (Primary Teachers – Classes 1-5)
The RSSB REET Mains Syllabus for Level 1 consists of five major subjects, each having detailed subtopics as follows:
Child Development & Pedagogy (30 Questions, 60 Marks)
- Child Development: Concepts of growth and development, principles, dimensions, and factors affecting development in family and school contexts.
- Learning Theories: Behaviorism, Gestalt, Cognitivism, Constructivism, and their implications for teaching.
- Individual Differences: Concept, types, factors influencing differences, personality and intelligence theories, and understanding diversity in learners—gifted, disadvantaged, and specially abled.
- Assessment: Meaning, purposes, measurement, evaluation, action research, and Right to Education Act 2009 roles.
Language I & II (30 Questions Each, 60 Marks Each)
- Unseen prose passages, synonyms, antonyms, spellings, word formation, parts of speech, tenses, active/passive voice, narration, and phonetic symbols.
- Teaching Methods: Principles of language teaching, development of skills, teaching-learning materials, and continuous evaluation.
Mathematics (30 Questions, 60 Marks)
- Content: Number systems, operations, algebra basics, geometry, mensuration, data handling, probability, and statistics.

Child Development & Pedagogy (30 Questions, 60 Marks)
