ICAR IARI Senior Research Fellow Recruitment 2025: Indian Agricultural Research Institute (ICAR IARI) invites applications to fill up the following purely temporary and contractual position of 1 Senior Research Fellow under the ICAR-funded project Emeritus Scientist Scheme on Entrepreneurial Development through Quality Seed Production of Marigold Varieties. This position will end when the project concludes. Location: IARI, New Delhi Agriculture/Horticulture—Floriculture & Landscaping.

The​‍​‌‍​‍‌​‍​‌‍​‍‌ project aims to increase the entrepreneurship of the floriculture business through the resolution of issues related to seed production, especially viability testing, varietal performance under biotic and abiotic stresses, and market-ready techniques for IARI’s marigold varieties. The Senior Research Fellow will be instrumental in the ground research, extension activities, and capacity building for the promotion of commercial seed production, which is in line with ICAR’s wider objectives of ornamental crop development and agricultural entrepreneurship.

ICAR IARI Senior Research Fellow Recruitment 2025 —Overview

Educational Qualification

• A Master’s degree in Agriculture or Horticulture, with a specialization in either Floriculture & Landscaping or Floriculture & Landscape Architecture, is required.
• 4/5-year Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture.
• For candidates with a 3-year Bachelor’s degree and a 2-year Master’s degree in Agricultural Sciences:
  • A NET (National Eligibility Test) qualification is required.
  • At least two years of research experience are required.

Experience:

• Have​‍​‌‍​‍‌​‍​‌‍​‍‌ background in seed production, flower culture research, or data analysis.
• Publish research papers or articles in your subject field.
• The degree should be from a recognized university/institution.
• Minimum marks/OGPA as per ICAR norms:
• Gen/OBC/EWS: 6.5/10 or 60%
• SC/ST/PwBD/Third Gender: ​‍​‌‍​‍‌​‍​‌‍​‍‌5

Age Limit

• Maximum Age: 35 years.
• Minimum age: 21 years.
• Relaxation applicable as per government rules

Salary

• First and Second Years: Rs. 37,000 per month + HRA.
• Third Year: Rs. 42,000 per month + HRA.
